Church Planting in Paris, France

Church planting teams in France will engage unreached people groups in order to evangelize, disciple, and equip them to live in community, to follow and share Christ with others, and to spread the gospel.

The Church Planter will join a holistic church planting team in Paris, France, to evangelize and disciple people groups with little or no knowledge of the gospel. In the process, they will identify and equip mature believers who will then establish and lead healthy, self-sustaining, multiplying churches in their communities and the surrounding areas.

This role will have a passion for making disciples and bringing them into community so they can, in turn, reach out to others. They will engage in leadership training to develop and equip church leaders. The ideal candidate will have:
- A Biblical Studies BA or equivalent experience
- Five (5) years of church leadership experience (preferred)
- Experience with evangelism and discipleship
- A solid commitment to the spiritual disciplines (i.e., Bible reading, prayer, etc.)
- Willingness to learn to communicate fluently in French

The Church Planter will collaborate with a team to evangelize and disciple unreached people groups and will identify and equip servant-leaders. They will:
- Live among and serve an unreached people group in Paris, France, learn about their culture, and become proficient in French before beginning formal ministry
- Teach the Bible in formal and informal settings
- Evangelize and disciple the people
- Identify and equip discipled leaders to evangelize their own people, training them to disciple new believers in a life-on-life manner
- Continue to develop current and future church leaders with biblical and practical leadership skills
- Perform other field or agency duties as assigned
Mobilize and Welcome New Workers-France

This role will use communication and organizational skills to help mobilize new workers for cross-cultural ministry, both within and outside of France and will serve as a liaison between field teams and World Team Sending Centers.

The Mobilizer is responsible for planning and coordinating ministry opportunities for new short- and mid-term workers, welcoming them to the field as part of a local church planting team while encouraging and mentoring them in their walk with Jesus. They will also use their training and expertise to develop and utilize a variety of communication tools that will support mobilization of new workers for various church planting teams, as well as the expansion of missionary funding and prayer support for ministries in the Paris area.

- Christian Maturity: A humble and mature Christian walk with a highly relational temperament
- Aptitude for Language Learning: Willingness to become proficient in French
- A solid commitment to the spiritual disciplines (i.e., Bible reading, prayer, etc.)
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Capacity for independent work: The ability to initiate projects, following through to completion

The Mobilization worker will collaborate with a team to provide mutual encouragement and accountability. They will:
- Establish and maintain positive, local relationships
- Assist in the church planting process, training local, believing leadership in reproducible discipleship and evangelism methods
- Network with churches, institutions, and individuals, both within and outside of France
- Follow up, maintaining contact with potential workers, coming alongside them to disciple and encourage them in their journey with missions
- Creatively communicate through various means, including videography, photography, writing, and social media, stories of God’s wonderful victories, and the need for more workers
- Perform other field or agency duties as assigned
Artist – France

The Artist position adds an exciting facet to the mission team and offers a creative and innovative approach to reach others for Christ. Music, drama, and the visual arts are instrumental in creating new channels for evangelism and discipleship. Photographers, sculptors, painters – imagine the impact you could have by putting together an exhibit in France!

As part of a church planting team in Paris, France, you will use your creative gifts and artistic skills to share the gospel and build relationships.

Ideal candidates are mature Christians who desire to share Christ with others using creativity, compassion, and the ability to think innovatively. They will have strong people skills and will live in the community with those they hope to reach while learning the language and culture as part of a holistic church planting team. They will have:
- Christian Maturity: Humility and a mature Christian walk, with the ability to be highly relational
- Aptitude for Language Learning: Willingness to become proficient in French
- Flexibility: The ability to customize methods for a distinct cultural context
- Creativity: Using one’s gifts as a way to build relationships in the community
- Evangelism and Discipleship Experience: At least 1-2 years’ experience in evangelism and discipleship

The Artist will collaborate with a team to evangelize and disciple unreached people groups and will identify and equip servant-leaders as they creatively use their gifts for ministry. They will:

- Use their artistic gifts to engage the people, build relationships, and be a blessing to the community as a whole

Chinese Language Student-China
Purpose
Language students will attend a Minority University in China. They will work with a holistic, long-term church-planting team to create and maintain gospel-driven relationships with Muslim minority students and local individuals they meet through practicing language and classes.
Position Summary
Study the Chinese language at a Minority University. As friendship are built with Muslim university students and neighbors, you will help them connect to a local church planting team. Thes relationships that are established will lead to opportunities to serve, evangelize, and disciple an unreached people group with little to no knowledge of the gospel.
Qualifications and Skills
Candidates should be at least 20 years old and have completed two years of university. An aptitude for language learning and a desire to work with minority Muslim people groups is essential.

- Live among the unreached people group, learning their language and culture
- Teach the Bible in formal and informal settings
- Evangelize and disciple the people
Teacher/Cultural Center Leader-Chad
Are you interested in forming discipleship relationships through community center interactions? We are looking for teachers who have an understanding of how people teach and learn in different cultures. Come join our holistic church planting team, working in the Guera region.
The role includes developing a Cultural Center to meet the educational needs of the people they serve. Workers will need to be flexible and responsive to the felt needs within the community and be a learner themselves, willing to research new subjects so that they can converse on a variety of topics being taught within the center. The Center leader will be expected to manage the calendar, as well as the other teachers, trainers or workers.
Master’s Degree Student-China
Position Summary
Pursue your master’s degree at a Minority University while you build friendships with students and serve alongside a local holistic church planting team of long-term workers.
Qualifications and Skills
Candidates must have a bachelor’s degree from an accredited university and have at least intermediate Chinese language skills. The program may take more than two years to complete.

University Professor-China
Position Summary
We are looking for educators to teach at a university, develop relationships with Muslim students and connect them with a local holistic church planting team of long-term workers.
Qualifications and Skills
Candidates should have a Ph.D. or equivalent and at least two years of teaching experience at a university. They should also be fluent in Chinese.

The professor will collaborate with a team to help plant a church. They will:

- Teach the Bible in formal and informal settings outside the campus

Chinese Minority Culture Student-China
Purpose
Chinese minority culture students will attend a Minority University in China. They will work with a holistic, long-term church-planting team to create and maintain gospel-driven relationships with Muslim minority students and local individuals they meet through attending classes and conducting research.
Position Summary
Study minority people culture at a Minority University! As you take classes, you can build friendships with Muslim students and help connect them to a local holistic church planting team of long-term workers.
Qualifications and Skills
Candidates should be a least 20 years old, have completed two years of university and have intermediate Chinese language skills to attend classes conducted in Chinese only.

Biogas Project Manager-Chad
Are you interested in forming discipleship relationships through community development? Do you enjoy fixing things and finding creative solutions? Would you be interested in helping the people of the Guera Region find simple ways to use methane as an alternative fuel?
We are looking for a handyman of sorts with the gift of helps to oversee the biogas project while also being available to help the other members of our holistic church planting team with household projects. Expectations include experimenting with different local materials to make and feed digesters, as well as different types of cookstoves that use methane efficiently. As you progress, you will work with, train and develop discipleship relationships with members of the local community.
Team Leader-Chad
Are you a mature Christian with strong leadership and interpersonal skills? Do you have a desire to share Christ in response to the work of grace in your own life? We are looking for a leader who will help mobilize and then oversee a holistic church planting team for a new ministry in the Guera region.
As a leader, you will engage in the beginning stages of developing this new ministry. This role needs a wise, humble, experienced, disciplined and intentional learner.
