Leadership Development-France

Equipping and empowering national leaders is an essential part of planting churches that will grow and multiply. Ideal candidates will be authentic and humble servant-leaders who are able to share personal successes as well as failures.

This role requires a rapid adopter of new ideas with a missionary mindset who can take risks and use their critical thinking skills to evaluate missiological and innovative strategies.

The Leadership Developer is an experienced, authentic, and humble servant-leader who will work behind the scenes to train, equip, and empower discipled national leaders and church workers to establish and lead healthy, self-sustaining, and multiplying churches in their communities.

As part of a holistic church planting team, the Leadership Developer will live among and learn the language and culture of an unreached people group in France. They will engage and encourage national leaders, sharing personal successes and failures as they equip them to evangelize and disciple believers and to spread the gospel.

Ideal candidates for this position have a missionary mindset, can adopt new ideas, are willing to take risks, and will use critical thinking skills to evaluate missiological and innovative strategies. They will have:

  • A Biblical Studies BA or equivalent experience
  • Five (5) years of church leadership experience (preferred)
  • Experience with church leadership, evangelism, and discipleship
  • A solid commitment to the spiritual disciplines (i.e., Bible reading, prayer, etc.)
  • Willingness to learn how to speak and communicate fluently in French

The Leadership Development worker will collaborate with a team to provide mutual encouragement and accountability. They will:

  • Establish and maintain positive, local relationships
  • Share the gospel in French and in culturally contextualized ways

Ideal candidates are mature Christians who desire to share Christ with others, using creativity, compassion, and the ability to think innovatively. They will have strong people skills and will live in the community with those they hope to reach while learning the language and culture as part of a holistic church planting team. They will have:

  • Aptitude for Language Learning: Willingness to become proficient in French

The Mercy Ministry worker will collaborate with a team to evangelize and disciple unreached people groups in France and will identify and equip servant-leaders as they creatively use their gifts for ministry. They will:

  • Live among and serve an unreached people group in France, learn about their culture, and become proficient in French before beginning formal ministry
  • Teach the Bible in formal and informal settings
  • Evangelize and disciple the people, building relationships and community
  • Identify and equip discipled leaders to evangelize their own people, training them to disciple new believers in a life-on-life manner
  • Use their gifts to serve the broader community, finding creative ways to meet felt needs while demonstrating the love of Jesus
  • Perform other field or agency duties as assigned

Mobilize and Welcome New Workers-France

This role will use communication and organizational skills to help mobilize new workers for cross-cultural ministry, both within and outside of France and will serve as a liaison between field teams and World Team Sending Centers.

The Mobilizer is responsible for planning and coordinating ministry opportunities for new short- and mid-term workers, welcoming them to the field as part of a local church planting team while encouraging and mentoring them in their walk with Jesus. They will also use their training and expertise to develop and utilize a variety of communication tools that will support mobilization of new workers for various church planting teams, as well as the expansion of missionary funding and prayer support for ministries in the Paris area.

  • Christian Maturity: A humble and mature Christian walk with a highly relational temperament
  • Aptitude for Language Learning: Willingness to become proficient in French
  • A solid commitment to the spiritual disciplines (i.e., Bible reading, prayer, etc.)
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Capacity for independent work: The ability to initiate projects, following through to completion

The Mobilization worker will collaborate with a team to provide mutual encouragement and accountability. They will:

  • Establish and maintain positive, local relationships
  • Assist in the church planting process, training local, believing leadership in reproducible discipleship and evangelism methods
  • Network with churches, institutions, and individuals, both within and outside of France
  • Follow up, maintaining contact with potential workers, coming alongside them to disciple and encourage them in their journey with missions
  • Creatively communicate through various means, including videography, photography, writing, and social media, stories of God’s wonderful victories, and the need for more workers
  • Perform other field or agency duties as assigned

Business/Skilled Professionals are vital for our holistic church planting teams in the Paris area. They will use their skills and experience in a cross-cultural business context to make disciples among the unreached.

This position demonstrates and models ideal characteristics of Christian Business/Skilled Professionals as they live out their faith through everyday work life, with a desire to see kingdom impact in all their relationships. Professionals with experience in accounting, development, and project management are currently needed.

Ideal candidates are mature Christians with a business background who desire to share Christ with others using creativity, compassion, and the ability to think innovatively. They will have strong people skills and will live in the community with those they hope to reach while learning the language and culture as part of a holistic church planting team. They will have:

  • Christian Maturity: Humility and a mature Christian walk, with the ability to be highly relational

Church Planting in Paris, France

Church planting teams in France will engage unreached people groups in order to evangelize, disciple, and equip them to live in community, to follow and share Christ with others, and to spread the gospel.

The Church Planter will join a holistic church planting team in Paris, France, to evangelize and disciple people groups with little or no knowledge of the gospel. In the process, they will identify and equip mature believers who will then establish and lead healthy, self-sustaining, multiplying churches in their communities and the surrounding areas.

This role will have a passion for making disciples and bringing them into community so they can, in turn, reach out to others. They will engage in leadership training to develop and equip church leaders. The ideal candidate will have:

  • A Biblical Studies BA or equivalent experience
  • Five (5) years of church leadership experience (preferred)
  • Experience with evangelism and discipleship
  • A solid commitment to the spiritual disciplines (i.e., Bible reading, prayer, etc.)

The Evangelism and Discipleship worker will spread the gospel among unreached people groups in France. They will identify and develop local leaders from among discipled believers. These leaders will, in turn, establish and lead healthy, self-sustaining, and multiplying local churches in their communities that will spread to neighboring areas.

This position will join a holistic church planting team and live among an unreached people group in France, learning their language and culture. They will evangelize, make disciples, and will develop and equip church leaders.

The ideal candidate has a mature walk with the Lord and is continually seeking to grow in godliness and to abide in Christ, and is presently evangelizing and making disciples within their current context.

Character traits for this worker include flexibility, humility, resilience, interest in other cultures and unreached people groups, and a genuine love for the lost.

The ideal candidate possesses:

  • Christian Maturity: A humble and mature Christian walk, with the ability to be highly relational
  • Theological Knowledge and Experience: Biblical and theological training (formal or informal) and ability to interpret Scripture
