Philippines-Business Training

Many of the communities that we work in set up their own businesses but do not have the training or ability to be able to sustain them. Training community members in good business practices to help their business thrive creates stronger families and communities. This role is ideal for individuals looking to combine their business expertise with a heart for service, community development, and evangelism.

This position will live among and serve the Filipino people as a member of a holistic, church-planting team in the Philippines. They will use their business knowledge, experience, and expertise to lead classes and seminars in computers, leadership, micro-enterprise, and other areas of business.

Use your professional knowledge and the gifts of entrepreneurship and good management to bring creative, long-term, and sustainable solutions to local challenges.

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, education, or a related field
  • Experience in business training, entrepreneurship, or community development (preferably in a cross-cultural setting)
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to engage and motivate diverse groups
  • A commitment to Christian values and a desire to serve on a church planting team
  • A willingness to live in remote areas and adapt to local living conditions
  • Proficiency in the assigned unreached people groups language
  • Training and Development: Design and implement business training programs tailored to the needs of local communities. This includes workshops on entrepreneurship, financial literacy, and sustainable business practices.
  • Mentorship: Provide ongoing mentorship to local entrepreneurs and community leaders to help them apply business concepts effectively and encourage the growth of local enterprises.
  • Community Engagement: Collaborate with local churches, community organizations and local government to identify training needs and promote programs. Build strong relationships with community members to foster trust and cooperation.
  • Cultural Adaptation: Learn and adapt to the local culture, language, and socio-economic conditions to ensure the training is relevant and impactful.
  • Spiritual Leadership: Integrate Christian principles into training sessions, encouraging participants to consider ethical business practices and the role of faith in their professional lives.
  • Evaluation and Reporting: Assess the effectiveness of training programs and report on outcomes and community impact to stakeholders.
