Leadership Development-France

Equipping and empowering national leaders is an essential part of planting churches that will grow and multiply. Ideal candidates will be authentic and humble servant-leaders who are able to share personal successes as well as failures.

This role requires a rapid adopter of new ideas with a missionary mindset who can take risks and use their critical thinking skills to evaluate missiological and innovative strategies.

The Leadership Developer is an experienced, authentic, and humble servant-leader who will work behind the scenes to train, equip, and empower discipled national leaders and church workers to establish and lead healthy, self-sustaining, and multiplying churches in their communities.

As part of a holistic church planting team, the Leadership Developer will live among and learn the language and culture of an unreached people group in France. They will engage and encourage national leaders, sharing personal successes and failures as they equip them to evangelize and disciple believers and to spread the gospel.

Ideal candidates for this position have a missionary mindset, can adopt new ideas, are willing to take risks, and will use critical thinking skills to evaluate missiological and innovative strategies. They will have:

  • A Biblical Studies BA or equivalent experience
  • Five (5) years of church leadership experience (preferred)
  • Experience with church leadership, evangelism, and discipleship
  • A solid commitment to the spiritual disciplines (i.e., Bible reading, prayer, etc.)
  • Willingness to learn how to speak and communicate fluently in French

The Leadership Development worker will collaborate with a team to provide mutual encouragement and accountability. They will:

  • Establish and maintain positive, local relationships
  • Share the gospel in French and in culturally contextualized ways
  • Make disciples that make disciples
  • Assist in the church planting process, training local, believing leadership in reproducible discipleship and evangelism methods
  • Network with other ministry leaders while personally investing in and mentoring those who are just starting to exercise leadership
  • Perform other field or agency duties as assigned
