Philippines-Community Development
Our approach to church planting is holistic and addresses the expressed needs of the people while sharing Christ and developing contextually appropriate solutions.
This position will use their expertise and experience in microfinance and/or community development to positively impact the spiritual and economic life of individuals and communities (both rural and urban) in the Philippines.
Community development workers possess a variety of skills, including communication, problem-solving and leadership. They must be knowledgeable about the needs of the community and be able to work with various stakeholders to create positive change.
Proficiency in the assigned unreached people group’s language.
- Engaging with community members to identify their needs and concerns
- Developing and implementing strategies to address the identified issues
- Collaborating with local organizations, businesses, and government agencies to secure support and resources for projects
- Organizing and facilitating community meetings, workshops, and other events to promote community involvement
- Monitoring and evaluating the progress of development projects and adjusting plans as needed
- Preparing reports and presentations to communicate project results and recommendations to stakeholders
- Assisting in securing funding for community development initiatives through grant applications and fundraising activities
