Transcript
Hi, my name is David Riddell, and I’m the International Director of World Team.
On behalf of all of our people, I want to thank you for your investment in our Global 3C Conference. This has been an exciting event as we’ve brought our people together to be able to work together to envision tomorrow.
We had several objectives for our time here. One was to platform and sponsor the new generation of leaders for our agency. We wanted to talk about how to increase our fruitfulness in starting church plants. We wanted to open up new ideas for paradigms of ministry, and we wanted to build resiliency into our current and future workers.
We are so grateful that you are willing to help us in this way, and we’re looking forward to seeing what God’s going to do as a result of what’s happened at this conference—the time we’ve spent, the discussions we’ve had, and the outcomes that we have come up with to be able to build our future.
Viviene Whittle-Smith – WT Canada Donor Services: I’m really excited to meet so many people that I’ve just been hearing of by email.
Mike Scott – Canada/Global Leadership: You come out for the coffee time and you’re sitting there talking—you never know who you’re going to run into, but it almost always turns into a story.
Julie McCay – France: It can be easy to get discouraged and just say, “You know what, no, I’m done. I’m going to do something else. This is too hard.” But then we get all together, and it’s a good reminder of why I came to the field in the first place.
Chun Chin Yong – WT Australia Board Member: I think the highlight would be hearing their stories—and how God has blessed them and used them for the sake of the Gospel.
Tom Buursma – Phillipines: When I meet people that are being used by God and impacting lives and hear how they’re doing it, that informs myself and my team on how we can more effectively reach people for Christ in the Philippines.
Daniel Topf – WT USA Mobilizer: To talk to people who partner with us—for example, I talked to a Chinese pastor who is ministering in Lima, Peru—and learned a lot about the Chinese church.
Augustin Tharsis – France: We are likeminded. We want to see the Kingdom of God grow and move forward wherever we serve.
Charlemagne Nditemeh – Executive President for CBC: The lessons and the sharing that took – that happen there was very, very encouraging and very, very enlightening.
Jordan Wyns – Brazil: Some of the relationships that I made here I can use to learn for future ministry and how to help our national partners multiply the churches that they’re planting.
Gustavo Fallas – Dir. of FEDEMEC, Costa Rica: It’s been a privilege to share with people from so many different backgrounds, churches, places around the earth—serving among a diversity of ethnic groups but feeling a sense of unity.
Monika Mench – Personnel Director for DMG Mission Agency: I’m really looking forward to going back to my team and just bring in the Gospel more so that our attitudes and everything we do – according to the Gospel.
Kristin Buursma – Philippines: Expansion is something we’ve been working through on our field and trying to figure out how to expand into new areas, but use the resources and the people we already have. And I just felt more like—God’s got this.
Nathan Conrod – Cameroon: When it really comes down to it, these are the Lord’s plans for us, and He has good things that He has already prepared beforehand for us to walk in. And so, as we walk forward, we walk forward in faith and with an expectation of what He already has prepared.
There are many who would like to thank you for your investment in this conference in the language in which they minister—beginning with myself. Merci Beaucoup.
Thank you so much.
