Then use your creative, compassionate, innovative heart and mind to develop relevant, sustainable programs for meeting individual and community needs. Your ministry will be part of a holistic church-planting team approach and is needed in and around the Paris area.
This role will join a holistic church planting team to bring the love of Christ to the poor and disenfranchised in and around the Paris, France area.
This missionary role will evangelize and disciple struggling, unreached people groups to help restore hope and to help them find joy and new life in Christ. They will pray with those they serve to learn what their needs are and will help develop relevant, sustainable programs that will support individuals and the community as a whole.
Ideal candidates are mature Christians who desire to share Christ with others, using creativity, compassion, and the ability to think innovatively. They will have strong people skills and will live in the community with those they hope to reach while learning the language and culture as part of a holistic church planting team. They will have:
- Christian Maturity: A humble and mature Christian walk with a highly relational temperament
- Aptitude for Language Learning: Willingness to become proficient in French
- Flexibility: The ability to customize methods for a distinct cultural context
- Sensitivity and Insight: Experience with marginalized or otherwise vulnerable populations or willingness to learn about the unique challenges of these communities
- Evangelism and Discipleship Experience: At least 1-2 years’ experience in evangelism and discipleship
The Mercy Ministry worker will collaborate with a team to evangelize and disciple unreached people groups in France and will identify and equip servant-leaders as they creatively use their gifts for ministry. They will:
- Live among and serve an unreached people group in France, learn about their culture, and become proficient in French before beginning formal ministry
- Teach the Bible in formal and informal settings
- Evangelize and disciple the people, building relationships and community
- Identify and equip discipled leaders to evangelize their own people, training them to disciple new believers in a life-on-life manner
- Use their gifts to serve the broader community, finding creative ways to meet felt needs while demonstrating the love of Jesus
- Perform other field or agency duties as assigned
