The Wayana People of Suriname
“The missionaries told the Wayana people about Jesus, how He was God’s son. How he died for all of our sins, and that He wants us to accept the gift of being forgiven for our sins. God wants us to follow Jesus. This was brand new to the Wayana people. Gradually, as some in the tribe helped the missionaries put the Bible into the Wayana language, they began to accept Jesus as their Savior. Then more did. And more still.”
