Responding to the COVID-19 Crisis

World Team cares deeply about the health of our missionaries and staff and is carefully monitoring the spread of the novel coronavirus (COVID-19).

Over the past two months, we have been in communication with World Team leaders and missionaries on the field worldwide. At this time, there are no known cases of coronavirus among the missionary family; however, several teammates are located in heavily impacted areas of the world. Some are now limited in their ability to carry out their ministries. A few team members have been evacuated, but the majority of teammates remain in their respective ministry locations.
Leadership is also evaluating the implications that coronavirus may have on short-term trips, events, and operations at our World Team US Center.

While we are working to be prepared, we also want to maintain a healthy perspective, respond with the best medical information available, and above all, bring glory to our great God.
Join us in praying that God will use this crisis to soften hearts to the gospel. Missionaries will have unusual opportunities to share the peace that only God can provide (Phil. 4:7). Pray that we have wisdom for each new situation that unfolds and not over or under-react.

Thank you, friends, for your support of World Team missionaries, projects and staff. We praise God for your prayers and gifts! In times like these, World Team missionaries and staff cannot continue without your partnership. We need your support more than ever!

Please uphold our workers, as well as our leadership team, in prayer as we care for your missionaries.
