Guiding Principles

These Guiding Principles Inform How We Carry Out Our Mission of Church Planting

Gospel-Centered
We seek to apply the gospel of Jesus Christ and his guiding principles to all areas of life and ministry. Answer the calling to share the message of the Gospel, which is the truth that masters our hearts and shapes our interaction with the world around us. Join us on this mission.

Reliance on Prayer
Through prayer we grow in faith, wisdom, and our ability to love others like Jesus did. Individual and corporate prayer is a vital and vibrant part of World Team’s ministry. We invite friends and supporters of the mission to join us in prayer.

Holistic Church Planting
Apply the Gospel to your whole person, addressing physical, spiritual, and social needs. Our church planting teams develop unique ministries tailored to the specific needs of the people they serve. World Team holistic church planting is a way to help underserved communities around the world.

Facilitative Mindset
We aim to prepare our successors for success in all that we do. Churches multiply when we draw out the gifts and talents of those whom we’re discipling so that they are equipped to carry out the ministry on their own.

Teamwork
We work in teams because living and serving in community is the best gospel witness to a watching world. Teams with a diverse collection of gifts and experiences, are better-equipped to endure and thrive among the challenges of cross-cultural ministry.

Incarnational Ministry
Most of our workers serve long-term, investing the time needed to learn language, culture, and build relationships. Our model is Christ, who emptied himself of the privileges and powers of divinity in order to carry out his mission. This type of ministry provides longer commitment opportunities for service work on important missions.
